Public Forum: Local Public Mediator and Local Anticorruption Initiatives in Razgrad

On December 14, 2004, a Public Forum Local Public Mediator and Local Anticorruption Initiatives in Razgrad organized by the Bulgarian Association for Human Rights and Fair Elections - Razgrad was held in Razgrad. The Forum was held under the project Open Doors to the Citizens of Razgrad, implemented within the framework of the Civil Society Against Corruption Program of Coalition 2000.

Ms. Ivanichka Dimitrova, Public Mediator of Razgrad Municipality, presented to the participants at the Forum the six-month report of her activities. Ms. Dobrinka Moneva, Chair of the Municipal Council of Razgrad, confirmed the committment of the local government to support the institution of the local ombudsman and support its activities throughout 2005. The next steps in this direction will involve the creation of public-private partnerships with the local businesses in Razgrad.
